Abstract

"Der Schwarm" - An Example for Interaction of Computer Science and Performance Studies

In the paper we reflect the computer installation ”Der Schwarm” (the flock) in combination with a dance performance. The installation opens an contrete as well as an abstract space and makes both to walk-in. Human body movements are analyzed and interpretated as behavior. ”Der Schwarm”’ reacts to these movements by showing animal flock behavior.
